Architecture and Art come together for a Global Law Firm

Our PR firm was hired to promote LSM among a target list of lifestyle and design media in the USA and abroad. Their new project for Covington & Burling in Washington D.C. represents the law firm’s business strategy articulated through art and design. A focal point of the 420,000 square foot facility is an art installation by modern master, 92-yr old Venezuelan artist Carlos Cruz-Diez, whose award-winning work has been celebrated by museums around the world. Along with the new and contemporary architectural platform, LSM’s architecture and design scheme for Covington & Burling has helped energize the downtown D.C. art scene. We secured a cover story in the preeminent design publication, Wallpaper* magazine, with Maestro Cruz-Diez featured on the cover and LSM was highlighted prominently in an article about business, art and design.

Held annually in Frankfurt, Germany’s business district, Ambiente features over 4,700 exhibitors from more than 80 countries. It is the iconic design and lifestyle show for brands and influencers.
Our firm works with the leadership team to bring attention to the brand as a design destination. Each year, we are tasked with hosting editors and digital journalists to experience the fair at its best from events to private launches and exhibitions. We work on editorial coverage with topics ranging from profile stories to designer interviews to product roundups. With the brand being top of mind, we also assist with co-branding campaigns in the USA and Mexico coordinating closely with the team in Germany.

Heimtextil is the biggest and most important international trade fair for home and contract textiles and is held annually in Frankfurt every January. At this leading event for interior textiles and style, international manufacturers, dealers and designers present products and innovations to a large audience of trade visitors. Our firm has promoted Heimtextil in the North American market and every year, we host a group of editors to experience the various offerings and design presentations at Heimtextil. Showcasing the best in textiles and trends, we work collaboratively with journalists on concept stories, product features, designer interviews and articles to help increase recognition.

Mick De Giulio is one of the most renowned kitchen designers in the world. He has worked with brands such as SieMatic Gmbh, Sub-Zero/Wolf, Meredith Corporation, and others. He recently completed a 10,000 square foot showroom dubbed the Inspiration Studio at Abt Electronics, the nation’s largest single-store retailer of electronics and appliances. Mick has also published two books: Kitchen-Centric in 2010 and Kitchen in 2016.
Our firm has been working with Mick for over 25 years. Wight & Company/Dirk Lohan
The Reinvention of Modern Architect
When Dirk Lohan, grandson of one of the 20th century’s greatest architects, Mies Van Der Rohe, joined forces with Chicago based design and delivery firm Wight & Company in early 2016, a new powerhouse in architecture and design was formed. Mr. Lohan brought with him an architectural legacy and knowledge base unmatched in the industry, while Wight & Company added to its already impressive roster of experts and projects.
Our firm was tasked to ensure the seamless combination of Wight & Company with Lohan Anderson (Mr. Lohan’s previous firm with architect Floyd Anderson). Clear communication strategies and talking points were defined as we developed a tactical plan to help the CEO and Chairman with his PR campaign, both internally and externally. We worked on profile stories for both Mr. Lohan and Wight & Company, coordinating necessary interviews, media assets and more. Published editorials included the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Architect and Metropolis magazine.
Veuve Clicquot – Woman of the Year (India)
Woman Empowerment at its Finest
From a history dating back to Paris in the mid-1700’s to the present day, Veuve Clicquot has continuously defined the ‘art of champagne.’ Outside of its exclusive range of products, the brand has also taken part in non-traditional and creative marketing initiatives to showcase its deep commitment to the modern landscape. Events like the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, Salone del Mobile in Milan and the Business Woman Awards have reinforced the Veuve Clicquot luxe experience around the world.
Along with design projects in Milan and New York, GITAPR worked on a special cultural project to assist the Paris office select a recipient for their Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award in India. Because of our firm’s success in the Indian marketplace and knowledge of the diaspora, we coordinated the candidate nomination and selection process to hosting the awardee in Paris and at the champagne headquarters in Reims, France. The honor was given to Indian author, socialite and influencer Shobhaa De, who earned the title of Veuve Clicquot’s 2011 Woman of the Year Inde. Ms. De and 39 other women honorees christened a vine in their own name at a vine baptism ceremony. The coveted award, pays tribute to ‘courageous, accomplished and creative women’ who exhibit a spirt of enterprise and resilience.
The Rise of the Phantom
An enduring icon for over 100 years, Rolls-Royce has defined luxury and excellence in motor cars. It’s marquee symbol, “The Spirit of Ecstasy” signifies grace and seamless movement. In 2012, Rolls-Royce launched the Phantom II and GITAPR was brought in to engage the New York media for two launch events at the Rolls-Royce Manhattan and Long Island showrooms. Focusing on our list of VIP media, we organized a PR strategy and engaged business and design journalists along with influencers to attend the unveiling while garnering editorial coverage in New York magazine, Forbes, etc.
Vanity Fair – Ambani Project
A Passion for Charity and One of India’s Most Admired
Nita Ambani is one of India’s most recognizable women in business. Married to billionaire, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries in India, Mrs. Ambani has received numerous honors and recognitions including Forbes Asia’s 2016 list of most influential women business leaders in Asia, India Today’s fifty high and mighty Indians list, as well as many others. Ambani is the first Indian woman to become a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and is the Chairperson and Founder of the Reliance Foundation. Outside of her role at the IOC, Ambani is the co-owner of the Indian Premier League Cricket Team, Mumbai Indians. She has also led the ‘Education for All’ (EFA) initiative as part of Mumbai Indian’s way of giving back to society, which focuses on underprivileged children and creates an awareness for education through various media platforms.
In 2012, Vanity Fair magazine approached GITAPR to assist the editor with a feature story on the life and charitable work of Mrs. Ambani. Our firm’s presence in India made it possible for one of the world’s distinguished magazines to make the connection with Mrs. Ambani’s office. We helped manage the conversations between the New York editorial team and Ambani’s India’s office for several months before receiving final approval for the profile story. An editor, along with a photographer traveled to India and the GITAPR team was onsite to liaise with the India team.
The result was a long form feature story on Mrs. Ambani, her contributions to India society, her creative business initiatives and her important charity work. For the first time, Vanity Fair readers got a glimpse into the life of India’s beloved Nita.
